FAQs

  • $200 per one-hour session. Your insurance may cover all or part of this fee. FSA and HSA cards can be used to pay for services in and out of network where applicable.

If you have an out-of-network benefit with your insurance provider, I am happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. I also partner with Mentaya to help streamline and support with the process. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to learn more about your specific benefits and coverage.

For those who are unable to comfortably afford my standard fees, I encourage you to reach out and ask about possible sliding scale options.

  • I am currently in-network with Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, and Cigna. If you see your plan on this list, and you’d like to use your insurance to cover our work together, please schedule with me here.

I am actively working on getting credentialed with many other insurance plans, so if you do not see yours listed here, feel free to check back later. The process can be confusing, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

  • If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, it means they will cover a portion of the cost when you see a therapist who doesn't have a direct contract with your insurance company. Unlike in-network providers, who bill your insurance company directly, with out-of-network therapists, you typically pay for the session upfront and then submit a claim to your insurance for reimbursement.

Insurance companies often reimburse a percentage of the therapist's fee, usually after you meet an out-of-network deductible. For example, after you meet a $1,000 deductible, your insurance may reimburse 50-80% of the session cost. Out-of-network benefits give you the flexibility to choose a therapist based on your needs and preferences, not just those in-network.

I partner with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

    Mentaya is perfect if you:

    • Have out-of-network benefits
    • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
    • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
    • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!

    Here's how it works:
    1. Sign up for Mentaya
    2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
    3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
    4. You get reimbursed by insurance!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

  • I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots, with priority given to BIPoC, LGBTQ+, and others who face structural barriers to culturally responsive care, consultation, and supervision.

Please reach out to inquire about sliding scale availability. In the event that sliding scale spots are full, I’d be happy to add you to my waitlist or provide referrals to other resources that may better meet your needs.

  • Life happens, and I understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

This policy helps ensure that I can manage my schedule effectively and offer support to all clients as needed. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

  • At this time, I provide therapy exclusively via secure telehealth. This allows me to offer flexible scheduling and meet with clients in the comfort of their own space, no matter where they are in Oregon.

If in-person sessions become available in the future, I will update my offerings. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about how telehealth works or if it’s the right fit for you!

  • I am only able to provide therapy services to clients located in Oregon at this time. However, I offer professional consultation and group trainings, which may be available to individuals or organizations outside of Oregon depending on the nature of the request.
